Daisy Chain MEPs
Work with other editors to make a video chronologically, one section at a time!
Created for fun, not quality, so don't stress!
(MEP = Multi-Editor Project)
In 2025, Daisy Chain MEPs as its own event were retired.
Anyone can create a new one in the multi-editor project channel, but records are no longer kept on the website.
How it works
1. Someone posts an audio source with the beginning/intro already completed.
Remember to ping @MEP and tag your thread/post as OPEN.
2. The next person states they're working on the next part!
Each part should be at least 10 seconds long.
3. When that person finishes their part, they post in the thread:
- Footage they used
- Time in the audio they stopped at
- Link to actual part (you can upload it straight to discord)
- (optionally) cross-post their part in the general chat for daisy chain MEPs
4. The cycle continues until the entire audio source is completed.
5. Someone compiles all the parts in the thread together to release the final MEP.
The finished MEP gets uploaded to BentoVid's youtube channel & the MEP post/thread is tagged finished.
6. ⟳ Repeat!
Rules
- Each MEP part must be at least 10 seconds long
- The person who started the last MEP should not start the next MEP
- Previous MEP has to be finished before a new MEP (audio source) can happen, except in some circumstances (listed below).
- Thread OPs can pin messages by using the 📌(
:pushpin:) emoji reaction. Please pin MEP Parts!
Claimed but can't complete
Please post when you won't be able to complete something so someone else can claim the next part and keep the chain going!
Abandoned MEPs
If it has been more than 30 days since someone has replied or said they are working on something, a new MEP may be created.
If people wish to still finish the last MEP, they should do so in the MEP's thread, and not the main channel.
